What We Supply

Sugar punishes any weakness in the barrier

Refined sugar draws moisture from the air, then sets into hard lumps that customers return. The bag therefore has to do two jobs: hold 25–30 kg without seam failure, and keep humidity away from the product for weeks.

  • 3-ply kraft structure, 80 gsm per ply
  • Food-grade PE inner liner, 0.04–0.07 mm
  • Sewn bottom with reinforced seam and extra thread
  • Standing square-bottom option for pallet presentation
  • Print for brand, net weight, origin and barcodes

Design Choices

Three decisions that keep sugar free-flowing

Liner thickness

Thicker liner film resists punctures from sharp sugar crystals during filling and stacking. Too thin, and the barrier is compromised exactly where the bag flexes most.

Seam construction

The sewn bottom carries the entire load. We use reinforced seams with stronger thread so the bag survives the drop from the filling spout and repeated pallet handling.

Food-contact materials

Paper, liner film and printing ink are selected for food-contact compliance, and food-grade materials are stored separately from industrial stock.

FAQ

Sugar bag questions

Why does sugar need a PE liner?

Sugar is hygroscopic — it takes moisture from the air and then cakes. A food-grade PE liner of 0.04–0.07 mm keeps it free-flowing through storage and a long sea voyage.

What size and weight is standard?

A common configuration is a 3-ply kraft bag around 76 × 50 cm filled with 30 kg, with a reinforced sewn bottom. Final size follows your filling machine and product grain.

Can you provide food-contact documents?

Yes. Food-contact packaging is produced under ISO 22000 and HACCP-based process control, and related documents are supplied with quotations on request. See certifications.

Can you print our brand and weight marks?

Yes — brand artwork, net weight, country of origin, barcodes and multi-language text, in one to eight flexographic colours.
